Today, we did MLEA where the whole class made their own sandwiches and they did a class writing and their own group writings after the whole activity. Next week, they will do their individual writing. The idea is to provide them an experience and they then do some writings on the activity.
This MLEA is to teach them what a procedural text is. I taught them that a procedural text contains mostly sequencing words (Firstly, Secondly, Thirdly, Last but not least, Lastly, Next, Then and etc), action words (Put, Slice, Place, Peel, Cut and etc) and connectors (and, but, so, or and etc). They also need to use present tense for this type of text.

Today, we are going to make our own sandwiches. Firstly, take out two slices of bread. Secondly, spread some butter on one side of each bread. Thirdly, put an egg on it. Last but not least, place a slice of ham on top of the egg. Lastly, cover the ham with the other side of the bread. Finally, the sandwich can be served.
